Torri di Firenze
The skyline of medieval Florence, that of Dante, was peppered with 150 towers, however there is very little drawn evidence of this. In 1300 a law was passed and they were all taken down, the material being used to build the outer ring of city walls.
They had been the breeding ground for fighting between rival families, but what if they had remained? What if, as a result, the Medici family hadn’t risen to power in Florence?
