a family tree

This isn’t the first time I’ve tackled the subject of how to draw a family tree, in fact the people in this one have been the subject of many of my drawings. However, this is a special one, a keepsake for my little boy [now fast approaching 11 months]. I wanted to make something that he’ll treasure, that’s just for him, and that has enough information for him to ask questions, but not so explicit that he doesn’t need to.

It was a lovely drawing to make.

It has 57(ish) anecdotes including the view from the hospital bed where he came into the world, a concocted street of his grandparents shops, and of course, incy wincy spider.
